You lot have got to save me and Lewy from temptation!
My brother's girlfriend's mate is selling a 6 year old carolina female corn plus viv and stuff for £50
Really tempted, but we said no more snakes (and meant it this time).
Would anyone else be interested in her? It would save us being bad again |

I've requested some pictures so should be able to get them up soon.
It must be in the Barnsley area |

You can never have enough snakes! But save up for a Common boa and have some will power |

Here's a picture of the viv
and the corn:
Although she has said that if me and Lewy don't need the viv then we could have just the snake for free, as it's the viv they want money for really, so if you want the viv without the snake then we'll be happy to give her a home. If you want both- then happy days |

We've picked her up but she isn't very well. Think she's got an R.I
Plus she is the wildest corn I have ever met. Not been handled for years so you can imagine how flighty she is.
Going to get her sorted and try and settle her down, before making a descision on whether we keep her or rehome her (GP ) Hopefully she'll be alright if we persisit with the handling, because she's not a vicious snake, just so scared she's a nightmare to handle. Wish us luck! |

p.S- viv still available and it's a really nice one.
It's actually in Wickersley near Rotherham/Sheffield and not Barnsley like I previously thought. |

That'll be good- we aren't sure for definite because she's so wild we can't get near to inspect her properly, but she does sound weezy. We've upped the temps a bit and hope it'll clear it up if it's mild- if not I was taking her to the vets at the weekend. Getting Baytril into her is going to be fun
Will email you later with the address |

Still unsure if it is a R.I- she only wheezes when handled as if she's trying to scare us off with a hiss- but it's definitely weird anyway.
Must email GP! This thread is like a sticky note by the phone |

when Spruce had an RI it was a wheeze every breath with bubbles blowing from his nose and his mouth gaped open a lot. the vet i saw with him said it was a recurrent problem and was probably the reason he found himself back at the petshop, he's still prone to it now. getting the temps up will bring out any mucous caused by the inflamed airways, sometimes they regulate their own temps too cold as this slows down the onset. hope this is all some use to you and that she's ok |

We have raised the temps a bit, trying to dry it out of her- I think her old tank must have been very humid because the wood that came with her smelt of damp |

You could try injecting the baytril into a mouse then feeding her that perhaps? |

Baytril needs administering on a daily basis to work, usually for about 7 days, thats a lot of mice! but if only it was that easy! i have seriously considered doing that - feeding a fuzzy every day rather than a large mouse fortnightly, it might work?? |
