Hi guys today i gave Kirks viv a good cleaning putting the big boy into his old viv any way i decided to change the look of his viv and i dont think he likes it!!

I did what i normally do and put the hemp down pretty deep as ive noticed he likes to bury himself into the chips i partially buried his 2 hides and added all his climbing toys, BUT for a change i covered everything in spagnum moss except his water that is so after i handled him for a while i put him in and he crawled about pretty fast then climbed up his branch and wont come down!! I must point out the moss is damp.

Is this just a case of him not being used to the moss and will come round? or is the moss not suitable for corn snakes?? specially damp moss. Thanks guys

i only use moss in one hide when they are in shed, and mine only tend to go in when they need to i guess.

The damp moss would have caused too much humidity for a corn, best saved for when they're due to shed tom
