so what should i do just leave it to shed or do i give it a bath in tepid water i don't know cos this is the first time this has happened and my first snake.If i do have to give a warm bath how do i do this is it ok to pick it up to put it in a tub and how much water do i use. Thnx any help would be great |

You can use what you like. If its a small snake i would use a washing up bowl and if its a 3ft+ snake i would use your own bath. Dont fill the bowl/bath higher than the snakes height (if that makes sense) so the water shouldnt cover the snake when its in it. The water should be slightly warm.

I have never bathed my Corn, he's never needed the help, however, it does help my Royal.
You could also just try spraying a fine mist into the viv. Has it got a moist hide (moss)? |

You dont have to, a light misting could to the trick. You cant really tell how its gonna go the first time. If he sheds fine without bathing him then you know you probably wont have to next time. If he has a bad shed they you know you should bath him. |

most shed fine without any help at all.
personally I leave them to it and only intervene if there is a problem such as bits of shed left on the snake or retained eye caps. then bathing in 1-2" of luke warm water for 10 mins then letting them wriggle through a towel usually does the trick. |
