Hi there can anyone tell me how to sex corns by their tails, I am wanting to find out if cecil is a male and finding hard to find anyone that probes near me, even the local rep. vet don't do it. |
lost track of the day's now, but I'm getting my amel stripe corn on the 2nd of August!!! |

| so if it tapers directly from the end of the body then its a female, and if it gets smaller than the body then tapers a small distance then its a boy(probably) |

| How old is Cecil? I'm fairly accurate at sexing adults by their tail, but for juveniles and hatchlings both sexes look pretty much the same. |

I did it once, but having a definite male handy to compare with helped loads.
Think it would be quite hard, unless you've got something to draw a comparison to. |

| our local rep shop will sex them by tail for free, it's worth asking, but as kazerella says it's much easier when you have one of definate sex to compare it to. |

| I'm pretty good at sexing adults (I typically thought I must of got it wrong when I bought Beech as a girl) but anything sub-adult (no, not you BE!) is a lot more difficult. |
