Thats perfect IMO. I feed henry (who's also 4ft) once every 2 weeks (2 adult mice). |

Normally I'd recommend feeding about every 5-8 days. Although i do tend to vary mine a bit, just to keep some of their instincts, in the wild they might not eat EVERY saturday evening. They could eat on a sat, then the following friday, then not for 10 days. and so on.
I'd say that javing him on a staple of once a fortnight, may not be enough. How long is she? do you know her weight? and her age? (ish)

I always thought males would be alright once a fortnight, but females always stayed on one a week. They need the energy for girl stuff- you know- like your girlies need chocolate at certain times of the month.
(or is that just an excuse we use to trough? )
Seriously though, my 4ft female is on one large mouse a week, but once the males get that big they will be given less. |

Will you give your females 1 a week throughout their life or just while there still young? |

All their life I think, but it could be a breeding thing, so if your not planning to breed then feeding less often might be alright.
We need to research! Google here we come! |

We could just decide 10 days as a happy medium. |

The Librarian never fails! This is why I always tell pupils that books are better that internet research. 20 minutes googling = no answer, 3 minutes book reading = results!
This is according to Don Soderberg in 'Corn Snakes in Captivity':
'I feed most of my mature males every 10-14 days. If you notice any loss of weight from this regimen, consider feeding males one food item every seven days. Anymore than this for adult males can result in obesity'.
'Mature females require more calories than males. At proper temperatures, adult female corns should be fed one appropriately sized prey item every five to seven days and that is a satisfactory regimen for their entire lives. I don't recommend feeding a mature female corn less then once every seven days.'
'Mature corns should never be power fed.'
God- I feel like a know-it-all now |

You sound like one too! Maybe i will try feeding her one a week for a month and see how her behaviour changes? I gave her 2 last saturday so i will give it until the saturday after next then give her one a week and see how it goes.
Edit - also you have to prove you can lick your nose like a giraffe |

How old is she?
Cyd is about 4 years and she's always had one a week, while we've had her. She would eat more if we let her though, she's a right fatty |

P.s if she's reached that age on the feeding regime she's on, I wouldn't bother changing it. She must be doing well on once a fortnight feeding. |
