spot on, keep em apart except for when making babies

general rule is the "rule of 3" this mainly applies to females- 3 feet, 3 years, 300g.
smaller males can breed successfully if they are fit and healthy.

think it goes more on weight than size mate , 300 grams ish for a female but a rather small male can do the job as he doesnt have to produce the eggs and go through not eating much.

2 breeding periods a year max, and only if the female is in seriously good condition and able to withstand laying 2 clutches of eggs in one year. not advisable for first time breeders or mums!

im sorry i diddnt realise this as i thought it would be ok for them to be ok all the time how many times a year is it ok to bread

mainly through spring and summer due to the natural brumation period over the winter, though if you keep a male and a female together all year round and dont brumate them then there is a high chance the male will continue pestering the female for sex, with multiple clutches of eggs resulting and a very unhappy girly.
