mainly through spring and summer due to the natural brumation period over the winter, though if you keep a male and a female together all year round and dont brumate them then there is a high chance the male will continue pestering the female for sex, with multiple clutches of eggs resulting and a very unhappy girly.

2 breeding periods a year max, and only if the female is in seriously good condition and able to withstand laying 2 clutches of eggs in one year. not advisable for first time breeders or mums!

sorry sexybear for sounding stupid so if i got the female im after i shouldnt really keep them together full time only when bredding and out side breading season still keep them apart

just tried to measure billy the best i could and he is at least 100cm as far as we can do without him sheding to get it perfect would you personaly say he is at breeding size ?

think it goes more on weight than size mate , 300 grams ish for a female but a rather small male can do the job as he doesnt have to produce the eggs and go through not eating much.

spot on, keep em apart except for when making babies

general rule is the "rule of 3" this mainly applies to females- 3 feet, 3 years, 300g.
smaller males can breed successfully if they are fit and healthy.

been to the shop oday about my female as its his own apparently she has bred for the last two years and about 5 foot and bright orange red in colour will see in morning when i go to have a look at her whats she like
