I know that a few people have 'rescued' corns and it is something that i would like to do one day.

Im getting my viv stack sorted this year and I've got my little viv room coming along nicely so it is something that i would have the ability to do.

I think it would be nice to take on an Adult that needs a home, maybe isnt feeding etc, and get it back to full health.

Are there rescue centres for Snakes around the country? Or do the RSPCA let them go to new homes if they find them? etc.

Thanks

Gaz

n'awww i would love to rescue snakies.... n hopefully will do later but dont have the room or the time at the momment.. plus they should have a rep rescue place near me... then when i do decide to, it wont be so far away.

but i got scooby and skittles from someone on preloved.. great site.. just kinda dangerous at times lol

How come?

Kellog if you bet your OH hat he can'r make a viv and make fin of his manness he will make you a viv, and then you can always say now that you have an empty viv you need something to put in it XD

Plus if your always out of room you could get someone to make you a viv stack and you wuld get your money back throug selling the old vivs :D

That cali king is amazing! I wonder if he has a good temperament though. Only one way to find out and Kellog, yo say you don't live far from Brighton? I think you should check it out.

It was from Pre-loved that I got Kellog and a site called Gumtree that I got Silvesta....and he definitely needed rescuing .

So when are you going to rescue more :D

Preloved has a lot of snakies that need new homes. I would love to re-home a snake but I just haven't got the room :/
You will need to search into quarterer though. It is such a nice thing for yu to do, I wish more people would rescuse snakes rather than trying to find new hatchlings.

Oh my... the rainbow boa on the RSPCA site... <3 and the cali kings...

I think I may end up rescuing snakes from there one day... if they make a reptile center closer to me ._.

I just knew we would all click on the link to look and see what the RSPCA had for rehoming! What a predictable lot we are !!!!

Have already said this elsewhere Gaz but think it is worth repeating - I think the idea of you taking on a rescue corn is a fantastic one. It is so sad that reps find themselves either abandoned or taken away because of bad treatment (and we all know there is too much of that around ).....it would be a very lucky corn to find a new home with you.

You have learnt so much since you first got Stella and you are the sort of person who knows that there is always more to learn, you have the opportunity to do this with your new viv room and you also know you have the support of the forum to help you deal with anything that you may take on.

Go for it....you are perfect for the challenge.

(must admit I loved the look of that first cali king.....and I thought I was a corn-only woman ).

Very good idea Gaz as you know I rescued my Xena. I found her by putting ads on the pets 4 life groups I run on yahoo you are welcome to use that if you like but the groups mainly cover east anglia and lincs although we do have a UK site too.

Cheers

Steve
