Hi to all, I was just wondering if anyone knows if a solid pine viv would be ok for my little girls snake as I have just started to build one. Its only I saw someone said that pine is txic to snake? Ive never heard that before myself so any feedback on this would be really helpful.

Personally i wouldn't take the risk, the chances are that it may be fine but thats just me. |

ok, thanks all, what about if line the inside with 2-3mm non-toxic plastic sheeting (which i was going to do on the bottom, sides and back anyway as it would be easier for cleaning) on all the inside surfaces then seal the edges with non-toxic sealant? any thoughts? |

Pine exudes phenols (I think) which yes, are toxic to snakes. |

As far as I am aware pine is toxic to snakes but the others will be on soon and will be able to tell you more |
