There are many rules of thumb. They are just a guide.

I thought that a 3-4 foot viv would happily house a 5+ ft corn. Maybe if you get a large viv you could section it to save you having to keep buying larger vivs. Then you could move partition as he grows.

I was always tole they should be able to stretch down a long side and a short side- the viv you've described would be big enough for a 6 foot corn!

if i waas you i would get a glass viv,,, because i got a plastic one and the heat mat melted the plastic and the melted plastic melted a hole in my heat mat,,, and made it stop working

in a plastic viv, about 1 1/2 ft, so it time to think about new one, he is happy in there, but i want him to have more stuff to do as it is really really crammed in there, and look nice and stop my cat from trying to get on top the tank

When the snake is fully grown you want it in either a 3 or 4 ft viv. Whats it in now?

My snakey is now around 22 - 24 inches last time i measured her and she's well happy in a 3ft viv well 35x15x15

Hope this helps

would a 2ft viv be too small when fully grown, or a 3ft one??
n/a Posted - 02/09/2009 : 15:21:20
so the length of snake measures the lenght and diameter of the snake??? is that right ?

he needs a viv that he can stretch in,,, the cage is too big he he can go round the edge of two sides of the cage!!! measure his size then double it and the area of the cage needs to be that,,,, if you understand that!!
