he needs a viv that he can stretch in,,, the cage is too big he he can go round the edge of two sides of the cage!!! measure his size then double it and the area of the cage needs to be that,,,, if you understand that!!

When the snake is fully grown you want it in either a 3 or 4 ft viv. Whats it in now?

in a plastic viv, about 1 1/2 ft, so it time to think about new one, he is happy in there, but i want him to have more stuff to do as it is really really crammed in there, and look nice and stop my cat from trying to get on top the tank

bascially the viv needs to be big enoughthat the snake can lay full length from the top right to the bottom left corner

so if you had a 4 ft snake, you'd need a viv 4ft long and 2 ft wide to accomedate it

I was always tole they should be able to stretch down a long side and a short side- the viv you've described would be big enough for a 6 foot corn!

I thought that a 3-4 foot viv would happily house a 5+ ft corn. Maybe if you get a large viv you could section it to save you having to keep buying larger vivs. Then you could move partition as he grows.

There are many rules of thumb. They are just a guide.
