Posted - 30/07/2009 : 13:28:35 In my Local Pet shop they sell Half coconuts fill with bird food. they look like they would make a perfect hide for Hercules. what i wanna know is if it is safe for him and what i need to do to treat it once its empty?

Posted - 30/07/2009 : 17:42:01 Mine are made from the bird feeders, fed the birds first then I scrubbed them clean, then put arch in using a dremmel, then I sterilized it in Milton, then baked it in the over for a bit at 100 degrees and its now Mojo's favourite hide. So yes IMO they are fine for a snakes hide ;) |

Posted - 30/07/2009 : 13:53:34 i use coconuts but i brought mine as coconuts from asda on 59p i think. to treat them all i done was to bake them at 120c for 1hour and let to cool |
