Can you tell me please if our sticky item on how to set up a faunarium 101 guide for cornsnake hatchies is also suitable for young Royals? http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9878

We haven't had our royal all that long but they are amazing characters, so relaxed when out. Though our seems to have some confusion over what he is. In the evenings we find him hanging in the vines in the top of the viv and he has yet to master the art of getting down from the vines and balling up. Maybe he never will

Herriotfan, are you taking a walk on the pet rock side? They are great but they don't do much. Different league to corns though, so much more strength to them, they tend to be much calmer and chilled out but don't know about slow, like any snake they can shift when they want to the closest I've ever come to a bite was from my Royal so I can confirm they are fast.

Yep, that will work for a young royal, they prefer enclosed spaces too so they may like something like that quite a bit (depending on the royals size)

If you are planning on getting a royal, I will just say that they are such amazing pets (not saying that corns aren't) but they are MUCH slower than corns and are really relaxing when you are chilling out ;)

no reason it wont work on the same principals ;)
