ok my cornsnake has shed and its been apooppatch shed i manged to damp off a fair amount but there is a little bit left in the tail that just wont shift,
no i can make a damp box and i could put in the substrait i use for my trantula and scorpian but its a soil of some sort that i boutr in blocks
is this a good idea or a bad idea?

Wet hides are to aid per she'd to make the shed better, if it's already retained I'd suggest a body temp bath and running him through a roughish flannel.

The stuff you use is called coir? It's made from coconut?

If so then yeah you can use it in a hide, wet and squeezed out like you would for a T...

hi mate i dont know what any one else thinks of this but my brother has a pair of 1/2 yr old beauty snakes, both bad shedders no matter what we tried housing wise( especially towards the tail ) after seeing them and in my opinion thought the tail was dead for sure, used a rubber thumb like the ones they count money with, along with a good spray of shed aid and it came off no prob at all. hope that helped
