Thinking ahead I would like to run a day night temperature cycle in my viv.

What would be a good temperature to drop to overnight, 2-3 degrees lower than day time temps?

I have a 4ft viv setup for day/night cycling and use a 2ft tube.

Couldn't agree more, I use 2% UV tubes, as you rightly say can't be bad. I chose to use after reading an article in the reptile magazine stating there are health benefits to be gained.

Is that the Arcadia natural sunlight ones, what size do you use?

That is exactly the reason I was planning to do it. 10 hours sounds like a good amount, will give it a go.

Was also toying with the idea of introducing some UV into the viv for the daylight hours, I know that it isn't needed as such but can't be bad for the snake as long as you don't have an albino morph?
