Hi, I bought my first snake today. The glass in the viv has fogged up with condensation. Temp on hotside 28 degrees. Worried viv too humid but don't want to turn heat down. Is this a problem? Please help!

Should I let him settle in for a week or just a few days?

that would explain him sitting on the cool side

Give it a week first to settle in, just go in to change the water. Then after a week start to handle for short periods daily.

When I first got my monkfield faun/viv (wooden with glass front and top) that had a bit of condensation on the glass and went after a couple of days. Yours may just need to adjust to having heat in it.

Also, I thought he would go straight into hide but he's not. He's coiled in cool side corner like he's cold and exposed.... How long will it take for him to settle in? Don't want to disturb him before he's ready.

Is the substrate wet or damp?

Aspen flakes. Water bowl is on cool side but it's only a little tank so don't know if it's gonna b an issue...

Something in there is either wet/damp. What sort of substrate are u using. Where is the water bowl.
