Hi, I bought my first snake today. The glass in the viv has fogged up with condensation. Temp on hotside 28 degrees. Worried viv too humid but don't want to turn heat down. Is this a problem? Please help!

Also, I thought he would go straight into hide but he's not. He's coiled in cool side corner like he's cold and exposed.... How long will it take for him to settle in? Don't want to disturb him before he's ready.

When I first got my monkfield faun/viv (wooden with glass front and top) that had a bit of condensation on the glass and went after a couple of days. Yours may just need to adjust to having heat in it.

My tank is a monkfield too. Think I've cracked it now. I had the thermostat sensor too high so think it was too hot in there. Moved sensor so it's touching floor now where mat is and seems to have cleared. Thank you for all ur help guys, I really appreciate it!!! Any ideas when I can start handling him? Should I let him settle in for a week or just a few days?

Give it a week first to settle in, just go in to change the water. Then after a week start to handle for short periods daily.
