Posted - 12/05/2011 : 21:34:57 my mum has a set of scales, that she used for weighing her luggage for when she went to egypt,
i was wondering if it would be ok if i used them to weigh Chihiro when i get her, obviously putting her in a tub first, would this be ok?
thankyou :) |

Posted - 13/05/2011 : 04:20:42 Argos do value digital scales for 6 or 7 quid if you're interested. I tend to do weights and measures after each shed at next feed. |

Posted - 12/05/2011 : 23:12:46 I use digital kitchen scales to weigh mine. Usually do it at least once a month. Sometimes more often depending on if I'm feeding in their feeding tubs or in viv. |

Posted - 12/05/2011 : 22:03:48 oh, and the best time to weigh them is after a poop and before the next feed so you get a more accurate 'empty' weight |

Posted - 12/05/2011 : 22:02:58 i just weigh mine a few times a year but mine are mainly adults, and the juvies, as long as they look like they're growing on well i'm not too fussed about monitoring their weight BUT it is a good thing to do on a monthly basis if you have the time |

Posted - 12/05/2011 : 21:58:31 they work in KG, but you can turn them to G instead, mum said they are v sensitive, so hopefully give them a try next week :), if not, ill hve to pick some up :)
how do you keep track of your snakeys weight? |

Posted - 12/05/2011 : 21:56:34 it would be ok, though i'm not sure how accurate they are, or if the increments are too big to be accurate?
our scales at work weight in 0.2kg/200g increments - fine for my boas, not so good for anything smaller!! |
