i picked up one of these thermometers from P@H today while i was out

http://www.petsathome.com/shop/thermometer-by-exo-terra-28203

and being a newbie, im not sure where about to put it in the faun,
on the warm side? on the base of the faun or the side?

sorry if it seems like a dumb question, i also aim to get a better one once i have a bit more cash handy, but got this one for now rather to be safe than sorry :)

thankyou

These dials are not really accurate, even if you lie it flat on the base at the substrate.

ah ok, so best to keep it on the warm side to monitor the heat mat alongside the thermostat?

my thermom prob is in bottom of faun in same position as heat mat stat and is held down by the kitchen roll and hide and yes put it in the warm side
