Do you think shredded paper would make good snakie substrate? Maybe line bottom with kitchen towel and then the shredded paper so she can burrow, hide and make wee tunnels for herself?
I can get a loan of a shredder and shred loads and loads lol

i use shredded paper with my boas, co**** stuff from the shredder at work for the big Dums, and finer stuff from our little shredder at home for the little boas and occasionally the corns
only thing to watch out for is the dusty stuff at the bottom

I've used shredded paper several times, and still do occasionally.
Newspaper is the best, but generally anything that isn't glossy should be fine.
