Do you think shredded paper would make good snakie substrate? Maybe line bottom with kitchen towel and then the shredded paper so she can burrow, hide and make wee tunnels for herself?
I can get a loan of a shredder and shred loads and loads lol

Mind is changing on snakes I want now lol so am researching these to find out what would be best - Milk Snakes and Dwarf Boa possibly - Crawl Cay, Sonoran, Tarahumara or Vera Cruz and poss a Hoggie, African House and Rat snake. Also Trinket Snakes.

I've used shredded paper several times, and still do occasionally.
Newspaper is the best, but generally anything that isn't glossy should be fine.
