hi all, new here, will be getting my first corn snake (a hatchling) in a few days once my set up is sorted, I have basically gone with what littlemick has put in his very useful thread.

just wondering, I have got heat strips instead of a heat mat, will this make any difference? I will be using the large flat exo terra faun, and the strips are 11" x 7" and 7.25W

will this be ok? or do I need to get a mat?

any help will be much appreciated, dont want to do anything wrong for the sake of the snake.

thanks

John

I use heat strips which are 4ft long and I have multiple rubs on it.

I would call that a heatmat and yeah it will be fine :)

I agree, I thought that strips were longer for multiple vivs, fauns, etc.

And Chris where you been hiding babe? :(

it is like a mat but heat strips rather than a full mat. made by aztec pet heating.
