A few people have asked me to let them know how i get on with surrey pet supplies.

I telephoned this morning to check if there is a next day delivery option, but there isnt :-(

I placed my order on the internet about 5 minutes ago, email confirmation states that orders will be despatched within 3-5 working days but can take 10 days.

If it is going to take this long then i will be disappointed, however i have taken the gamble due to there excellent prices.

I have always used 888 reptiles, although expensive, they have always had my order with me the next morning.

I will keep you updated,

Gaz

It certainly does!

I set the viv up at 2am this morning when I finished work and ran it overnight. The pulse stat is perfect! Less than 0.5c fluctuation.

And I collected my Cali king at 9am.

Well chuffed!

Excellent news. Glas you received your order quickly, just give yourself a few days to get through the packaging and you'll be able to get the new addition then
Does that mean new snakie pics soon then?

City link arrived with my parcels at 4pm

I have been at work since 2pm but my better half assures me everything is there and well packaged so thumbs up Surrey reptiles.

And k can get my king now :-p

Okay, for those who are interested...

Received an email yesterday from Surrey pets, parcel had been dispatched. Along with tracking number. Can't complain. Wish I could say the same for city link. I tracked the parcel online at 8.30 am to find that the delivery attempt failed at 8am, nobody was at the address and a card was pushed through. No knock on door and no card pushed through.

Rang depot and they will re attempt later today.

Surrey pets, spot on. City link - toss.

Bought my Viv from them great price and it arrived in a couple of days. Never seen anything so well wrapped up. Was popping bubble wrap for a week lol

Haha. Thanks for the calming words.

My king is paid for and safe. I'm just very very impatient.

I will chill now. Lol.

if he is keeping the king for you then it is not really that urgent so its not a problem so don't panic or go stressing yourself out
Gaz_1989 Posted - 17/01/2011 : 20:28:56
GMAC - They are urgent to the point that my first king snake is reserved at the reptile shop awaiting collection! And I've not got a setup for him yet!

Its not life or death, the bloke will hold him as long as needs be, I know him quite well. But I am very impatient! Lol.
gmac Posted - 17/01/2011 : 20:25:02
7-10 days for delivery is generally the norm.

You say you don't like being in a situation where you are desperate for these to come, are they that urgent you cant wait the ten days.

I know what you mean. Most of my stuff has come from ebay sellers which means waiting around for parcels that I really want to arrive asap but if I went to my local pet shop or reptile shop it would have cost me a fortune.
Gaz_1989 Posted - 17/01/2011 : 20:01:25
I don't like being in the situation where I am "desperate" for these things to come and possibly waiting a few days. However I couldn't of justified getting my order from my local rep shop, even with my discount for virtually living there, the order would of been more than double what ive managed to get it for at Surrey pets.

Fingers crossed its here soon.

I will be intersted to find out how you get on as I plan to order some vivs from them later in the year.

Hope your stuff arrives nice and quickly for you.

Cheers herriotfan. I like to let people know about companies as I know what it's like not knowing wether to trust a new supplier, especially online.

I found it was the courier service they use that are the ones that don't get stuff to you on time. I ordered around 3-4 other items alongside my viv I bought from them, and though all of that stuff arrived on the day we arranged, the viv - the reason for the call to arrange, to make sure nothing was broken! - was not delivered at the same time. The fault was with City Link having a back-log of items, and I then continued to miss delivery of it due to work and then having to return home to Surrey, where my parents live as is! I went in, and luckily, my neighbour had picked it up on the fourth attempt as we were out, but hell, its the couriers that screw you up, not the SPS people. They were nice as pie, and checked it all out for me, so I would recommend them, but certainly not the courier they use x.x

Hope you get your delivery quickly. Keep us updated, it's always good to get feedback on a firm for future reference.

Fingers crossed everything is in stock! I've ordered quite a list so something may not be.

Yea, Delivery can take a while. Usually if your item is out of stock. For example, if you order a viv which is in stock, but then you also order a water dish that is out of stock then they will only dispatch once all items are available for delivery. I dont think it mentions if items are in stock or not.

And yea, the packaging would keep your items safe through a neuclear war!

I got my second viv from there ready for when my snakes are bigger.
They were fantastic,I ordered on a Friday (I think). They rang me on Monday and asked me if Wednesday would be a good day to deliver. I've never received such a well packaged item, took me ages to get into it lol.
I'd order from them again with no hesitation.
Cross finger you don't have to wait the 10 days.
