Posted - 18/09/2010 : 01:24:04 Just wondering how much it costs you a month to keep your snakes. Sorry if it's a bit too personal but it might be quite interesting to see how much it differs with amount of snakes, ages and other things.
I have 2 adults, 1 is on a diet though so that makes things a tad cheaper and 2 babies. Costs me about £10.20 - 12.20, not including electricity and water.
2 x 1.50 for Jumbo mice 1 x 1.20 for Large mice About 10 x 0.50 for fuzzies Clean out for all £1 |

Posted - 19/09/2010 : 14:46:03 Electricity for them costs about £4-5 and for anyone whos interested, http://www.ukpower.co.uk/tools/running_costs_electricity/ at. Hopefully the mice cost will go down soon when I buy online in about 5 months time, if the TSM food site comes back up again :/ I suppose about £1.50 to heat one of them isn't bad for a month really. |

Aubiose is a hemp horse bedding that a lot of us use (or Hemcore which is supposedly the English version). This thread discusses it -

You can ring the number on their website and find out where your nearest stockist is. http://www.aubiose.co.uk/

Posted - 18/09/2010 : 15:54:49 no idea of breakdown between Boa, kings, ratsnakes, corns, royals and beardies but round about £30ish, cleanout is cheap a bale of Aubiose about £10ish and does us a fair few months. |

Posted - 18/09/2010 : 13:06:18 i could easily spend 50 quid a week on food, but at the moment, they are being fed less often, so is about 30 quid a week, not including crickets, locusts and meal worms. |
