So I'm thinking of building a hatchling rack like this to house 30 baby corns in lidless cricket tubs
Will be heated by a cable laid on the shelves
my question is, is there a way to put the dividing shelves in without routing the above and below shelves?
cos i cant find a router thats 18mm to go with the mdf, could i use a thinner board instead?
Any help at all greatly apriciated
Thanks

Np. An easier way of putting the verticals in rather than routing it out maybe just drill the horizontals where the verticals will be and countersink the holes so the screws sit below and then if you don't want to see any screws at all you can fill over the screws and sand flat. |

It all depends on how wide it is going to be and how much sag you would get over that width. If you closed the back you could definitely do away with the vertical divides and have no sag and get some runners that the tubs can slide into like the ones on this link
