Our new little amel (courtesy of gingerpony). He is a Christmas present for Angelina and she has no idea. She's been wanting a hatchling for ages.

Thanks GP he's great.

You're not kidding. I'm used to feeding both my adults by hand (no tongs) and they both strike feed. But shorty was vicious and lightening fast.... took me by surprise and made me jump.

Shorty really is stunning...and I am sure he will outgrow his name before you know it!! I bet your wife is over the moon. Is she enjoying the handling/feeding etc? Or are you, as the expert , showing her how it is all done?

and thanks for everyone's lovely comments about my home-bred hatchie but i think most of that is down to the photographer, David Bailey i am NOT!!

LOL.... yes GP really does work at a vets! It was great to meet you too, sorry if I took up too much of your time while you were at work!

He's a stunning little snake with quite a character. Nothing has fazed him at all, including being gift wrapped!! (of course I didn't wrap him! lolol). Plus, even with all the busy goings on of collecting/transporting him and having a new home/faun and being handled by his new family.....he still took it all in his stride and even strike feed his first pinkie with us (bloody fast strike too!).

Here are a few pics of him feeding.

Couldv'e have caused some problems.

That is one lucky wife you have there and it should earn you bonus OH points you can cash in on for months to come!! And, of course, it means you 'gain' another snake in the process...sneaky!

Stunning snake...will be interesting seeing how it changes as it grows.
