So this is probably nothing, but today I got Ghost out to feed her and some of her scales near her head end look slightly weird.. I'm not entirely sure how to describe it so here's a photo:

What is this / What could have caused it?

Thanks in advance :)!

They looked as though they were getting worse and starting to flake off and I'm worried her skin might be too dry. I placed her in a bath for around 10 minutes and provided her with a moss hide. Do you think this will help?

Haha she sounds like a clumsy snake! Maybe Ghost is a bit more accident prone than I realised.

At least she doesn't do it as much as my girl Kali, the scales on the back of her neck are bent very badly, almost scraped. Maybe I should pad everything in her viv haha, she's so accident prone! It's like she's tried to squeeze in somewhere and reversed out.

Oh good, I'm glad it's normal. Thank you!

Hmm I don't think so! Ill have a check in her vivarium, she's got a log in there with some holes in so ill make sure none of those are big enough for her to stick her head in.

Thanks for the comments!

Could she have got her head stuck in anything? X

they look like damaged scales, it should sort itself out when she sheds

Oh that's good. Thank you for the replies, I was slightly worried!

My MBK has a few of these too, shes a happy healthy lass, well apart from not wanting her dinner tonight

It looks pretty normal to me. Apollo has lots of scales like this. The folds aren't all in a straight line so it isn't likely to be fat folds or 'spare tyres' that they sometimes get.
