Posted - 07/07/2012 : 20:29:40 Our 15 (approx) year old Corn Snake is not well. He has not eaten for about six weeks, he has refused each meal (wiener rats). A week or so we noticed a slight swelling under his chin, this went away after a day or so. Yesterday he was offered another rat which he ate. However today, he regurgitated it. Prior to the regurgitation his head seemed to swell up like a golf ball, his mouth was open. A small while later his face was back to normal but now he just has a puffy underjaw which appears slack. We also don't know any local specialist vets in the Harrow or London area. Anyone with any advice please. |

Otherwise I'd suggest waiting a week before trying to feed again, and perhaps offering him a smaller meal. Weaner rats are fairly large, and it might help him to have a slightly smaller meal if he's poorly. |
