hello there, I'm new to this forum and have only had my new crimson corn snake (Sgt pepper!!) a few weeks, he looks very healthy and happy and feeds and handles well and seems to like being handled, my question is how do I know if he's drinking water? he spends all day hiding and never comes out yet so I've never actually seen him drink and water or go anywhere near his bowl! I'm sure he is but just wondering what you lot thought as you're alot more experienced, thanks loads for your help, cheers.

i have never seen my boa drink, but i dont worry about it as she looks fine, more than likely your corn is drinking once the room is empty and your all a bed

A lot of cornsnakes drink in private. There are quite a few people on here that have never seen their snake drinking.
You could try holding him over the edge of his water bowl when you put him back in his viv.
My Sidney sometimes gets thirsty when I have him out and he often just has a little drink when I put him back.
