Posted - 22/06/2010 : 12:33:33 hi im new to forum and have kept snakes for 6 years . i woke up this morning to find my snow corn dead with a redish black head can anyone help me as to diagnose the cause . he shared a viv with my female and have allways got on very well and was allright uptill last night so i really need some help please |

Posted - 22/06/2010 : 22:20:03 As above, take it to the vet for a proper PM, we can only speculate, a vet will give you a definitive cause. Only thing to remember, dont freeze him before taking to the vets, they cant do much with a frozen snake, even if its really stinky, they prefer that to frozen. Chilled is ok, but not frozen. |

Posted - 22/06/2010 : 18:09:19 Unfortunately only a post mortem will give any answers to why your snow died. Definetly take your other to the vets for a check up, there may be an infection or parasites involved. |

The only thing I can think of is maybe a haemorrhage.....
What are your temperatures? Set up? How old was he?
I have to say now, you will get a lot of comments about co-habiting. It's generally agreed on this forum that it's a bad idea, especially if they're opposite sex. There are so many things that could go wrong.
My suggestion is take him to a vet, because if it was an infection or something, then your female may have it as well.
