Hey people! About 2 months ago I posed one of these, and it was still unclear as to what her morph was; and since she has shed twice now maybe it'll be easier. So heres some new photos! :D

Same here... But as you say, it may be the only way to tell. I suppose it's up to the OP on what they decide to do really.

A nice clear belly picture would be useful though :)

I know not all diffusion is perfect. I've just not seen one this low expression before. I guess the true test would be to breed in future to a known diffused but obviously only if you can re-home all the babies and are prepared to breed.

If you could try to find out something about her parents it would be a lot more helpful...

I think I'm gonna go with masque diffused- maybe even call it normal based on the level of diffusion as an adult :) thanks!!!!

diffused doesnt = perfect diffusion all the time there are variations from very very little (like this) to perfect diffused specimens.

also there can be black specks on the belly, but there are no checkers visable, diffused all the way.

I agree with Angel on this- there is still quite a lot of pattern on the sides, with very little Diffusion. I've had at least 3 Masque babies hatch this year with little/no patterning, and I "suspect" this may be happening here too. The baby is definitely Masque, so we just need to try and ascertain whether it's a very low expression diffused, or a Masqued normal.

This is why I did the post on Masque in the morph section, because sometimes it can be confused with diffused- and ends in sadness a lot of the time!

I'd never heard of Masque before you did that post XD Not properly anyway lol. Thanks for doing that post, will save me future tears I hope and stop me if I plan to buy a "diffused" and it turns out to be a masque...

I think we need Eeji on this one... She has too much pattern on her side for a diffused and I see black specks on her stomach...
Moppet Posted - 26/08/2013 : 12:31:36
Yup, still looks diffused to me too
smart bunny Posted - 26/08/2013 : 09:04:22
Still diffused ;)

diffused
