I've long assumed Luna was a caramel corn, but recently, looking at pics of other caramels, I've started to wonder. Most caramels seem to have black belly checkers, and the black outlines are quite defined and clear. Luna's black is more of a grey, and...well...
Those are clearly not black belly checkers o.O Is she in fact amber, not caramel? What do you guys think? |

It does look Amber-like, but Caramels can be light. I would hesitate to say definitively if it was or wasn't, as I know I have an Amber female which does have quite dark checkers herself.. It's a toughie. I'd say pehaps 75% sure it may be Amber, but I don't think you can say for sure.. But then, that goes for most morphs these days :P |

The best way to go with morphs you're unsure of is to go with the lowest it could be.
Then you will never be disappointed if you breed them and get something unexpected!

Ah, I wish I knew what Luna looked like when she was younger...or even how old she is now o.O I have absolutely no history of either of them, so no hopes of tracking down the breeder and saying 'what are they?' |

My caramel fella has yellow checkers like your Luna, though he has a thin black saddle border more like Dans- I'm away from home at the mo but will try to upload a piccy tomorrow |
