Posted - 15/06/2012 : 21:59:03 He came with another male corn snake and that one sadly died he was long but he was just so skinny literally like a worm! the viv had mould growing in it on old poop, was awful :( Hes a happy snake though lively, eats and poops well, sheds well, will try rats :) Thankyou |

Posted - 15/06/2012 : 19:45:13 ah, my bad, I didn't know he was underweight when you got him but good to hear he's getting into shape. Rats are good for increasing weight, my big amel got very fat on them |

Posted - 15/06/2012 : 17:47:28 The thing is with chicks, they may be big, but they are day old. A large or jumbo mouse will contain a lot more nutrients which is better for the snake.
That being said, I still give chicks to the Plissken (when he is eating!) to vary his diet a little. |

Posted - 15/06/2012 : 16:15:49 Yes it is a mouse in the picture, he isnt gaining weight, he was on mice but the pet shop said try chicks so hes been on there for 4 weeks now. I dont know how old he is, was given him about a year ago and he was really skiiny and underweight then hes gained loads of weight since i have had him |

Id get him on mice, its a mouse in the pic isnt it?
But yeah mice are more of a staple diet for corns, chicks are more of a treat. |

The saddles just look too light in the first picture for me.
Throw this out there- Miami style Caramel?
Good call, but the yellow on the face and neck give it a more anery vibe. |
