Since having Claude I always assumed he was a garden variety corn, but my other half came to visit him earlier today and said that he wasn't normal corn colours and thought he was a caramel?
I say my OH is talking bull, personally, but for the sake of argument could someone confirm if he is a normal or something else? If he's a normal is he some kind of wild phase etc etc?

He has black checkers on the underside of his throat, down the rest of his underbelly they are all a browny colour like his body, not the saddles/spots.

Normal lighting, he looks like this in daylight:

With flash he looks a lot more orange hence my assumption of normal:

Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully put an end to the debate between my other half!!

Haha, he likes his air of mystery, apparently!
Thank you very much for your input though, really do appreciate it! :)

could be caramel, but not from that last pic, certainly hypo though, pics are dodgy though, better to see in the flesh!

xD I know! When my OH told me what he thought I went straight to Ians Vivarium to look at morphs and first thought my OH was way off until I saw this photo on the owner submissions on the caramel page!

Then I was like.. Oh.. Well.. Now I really am confused!!
He's due some food in a couple of days and is getting a bit more active during the day so I'll scoop him out and try and get a much clearer daylight photo of him. He only comes up seriously orange in flash-photos! :/

looks caramel to me too rather than a normal, but then I am a bit useless recognising all the different morphs out there! lol

Aww noes! Confusion sort of returns?
I had to ask as I had a peek on the morph guide on ian vivarium and right n the caramel page there is a very similar looking snake that's been taken with a flash photo! Confusion reigns supreme!
He really isn't as bright a colour in daylight though :/

Thank you ntbryenton!
