Posted - 13/08/2012 : 17:28:17 Probably a DAFT question but ah well. Is there a limit to how many hets a snake has?
Because I have proven that my normal female is het for hypo, amel, anery. and my male is Anery het hypo and amel. But one of my hatchies this year looks like a caramel.
So both male and female would have to be het caramel...
Is it common for a snake to have 4 hets? |

And the 2 I'm picking up at Kempton are Amber (Hypo, Caramel) het diffused, lavender, 66% Amel, and a Lavender het amel, caramel, diffused, hypo, 50% anery.
Nigel at Cornmorphs had some 6-7 het normals for sale earlier this year. |

Posted - 13/08/2012 : 17:52:32 As far as I understand it there isn't a limit on how many hets a snake can have, it just depends on what was passed down by their parents. Sounds like you got lucky with yours ![](icon_smile.gif)
I'll be interested in what some of the more experienced people have to say about how common it is as I don't know my male Anery, Apollo's hets (or whether he even has any!) Are Hypo, Amel and Anery the most common hets to find in an unknown snake? |
