Posted - 09/04/2012 : 12:16:45 if its under the faun it could potentially melt the plastic too and cause a fire risk |

Posted - 09/04/2012 : 11:56:46 Carter that was when i decided to take the pic a few minutes after it was up to 49 at which point i switched it off it makes me mad that so many pet shops advise new hobbyists that stats are unessacery as you can see this was only a small 7 watt 6x11 mat |

Posted - 09/04/2012 : 10:29:16 Contrary to popular belief a Thermostat is not an optional acessory this is a thread that pops up a lot on here and in a few groups on Facebook that i belong too so the other day i did a lil experiement with an unstatted 7 watt heatmatt i only left it on for ten minutes,,the result is below

Posted - 09/04/2012 : 09:55:23 i, personally, would never use any size heat mat without a stat, just isn't worth the risk in my opinion |
