Posted - 23/07/2010 : 01:20:02 The temps in the viv can drop as low as 17-18c with no real issue/risk to a cornsnake (unless it's just fed obviously) so if the viv is inside your house then I wouldn't worry at all about it getting to cold. Obviously unless you like freezing temperatures in the house as well. |

Posted - 23/07/2010 : 00:51:42 that's what I'm doing Danny but I'm up and down like a yo-yo just worried in case the temp drops its sitting at 80f outside the vivs just now so hope that will be ok. |

tbh i would say feed it, corns are more resilient than what people give credit for, my rootbeer is proof lol :S, hey princess and welcome :)
The reason i also advised her to leave them for now is because she currently does not have a thermostat controlling the heatmat. The safest thing to do was obviously to turn the heatmat off as its not too cold at the minute and its much safer than having it on uncontrolled. So i wouldn't feed them untill you atleast got your thermostat up and running.
You may not have read through the thread so weren't to know otherwise but on this occasion i would leave them be. |

Posted - 22/07/2010 : 13:50:38 I would just leave them for a week then. It won't do them any harm and in the wild when they are shedding they wouldn't feed anyway, because they are virtually blind. You will probably find that he just hides away all the time untill after he has shed.
