Posted - 11/03/2013 : 20:02:40 Hey guys I accidentally dropped my corn snake (Archie) today, was about to pick him up out of viv and he riggled away from me , it wasn't a great height but he did land with some force . He seemed to be okay afterwards but was moving around his viv like he had something to prove afterwards! Anything I should look out for injury wise , I can't see any surface damage . Plus do you think he will see me as a potential predator now and shy away from me ? Just a bit annoyed at myself and worried for him of course aha Thanks |

Posted - 13/03/2013 : 18:53:34 Aphrodite used to think she could fly and launch herself out of my hands at top speed. After the first time of her landing on the floor (and panicking whether she would be okay..she was) I handled her over the bed for a while just in case |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 23:28:30 They bounce when they are little, it's best avoided but sometimes they have other ideas. Ive dropped a few of mine a few times. Try doing battle with a crested Gecko, they have suicidal tendencies, they leap from everything all the time. |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 22:51:37 He seemed a bit flighty today but I'm getting to grips with him now , he certainly does want to get away! Well that was until he realised food was in the equation ! |

Posted - 12/03/2013 : 02:28:31 Just said this on another thread but my 5'6" female who hasn't jumped since being about 12" long suddenly thought she could fly and leaped from round my neck to land on the floor looking a little dazed. Now I'm not the tallest person ever but head to toe I'm 5'4"(yes, she's longer than I am tall) and she went from round my neck. |

Posted - 11/03/2013 : 20:40:15 Like Hissyfit said, I'm sure most of us have dropped a snake at some point, so I'm sure he will be fine =] I dropped Trevor a few times when I first got him whilst I was getting used to handling him. I've also watched him fall from the top of the viv a few times lol. |
