it was this day in 2006 that the late great Steve Irwin died

he was such a great ambassador for reptiles and herpetology, and so very enthusiastic about them, particularly Australia's native species.

Blessed Be Steve

R.I.P
My one regret in life so far is that I did not take the chance to go see him.
Truly inspirational!

Its a day late but R.I.P Steve God,I'm filling up!
What a fantastic bloke he was. His enthusiasm and love for animals was contagious. He opened up peoples eyes to so many wonders and the plight of so many animals. I have some of his Dvd's and both the kids and I love watching them.

i still watch repeats of him on the telly and think 'i still can't believe he's dead'

it still upsets me as he was a fantastic, inspirational person really hate to think what his family are going through today
