Spotted this news item earlier

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3350883/I-found-a-four-inch-gecko-in-Tescos-broccoli-bag.html

Amazing that the poor thing survived the ordeal.

I had to have a chuckle tho. I had to return a mouldy cake to tesco over christmas. Last week I received a letter from tesco head office with apologies and a gift card. Seems like you get £20 for a mouldy cake but only £10 for a gecko in your salad.

thats proberly because most of the clothes are made in china/asia where these creatures run around the factorys undisturbed and get cossy in the clothes lol
Shelby Posted - 18/01/2011 : 13:22:46
well i work in a clothing shop and you would be amazed with some of the things we find in our boxes of stock we've had all kinds of bugs n spiders crawl out on us lol there was a huge lime green beetle come out of one box!!!!! o and also some weird mummified thing with huge wings and really long legs that was kinda scary i must admit!!!!!

I found a tiny frog in a fruit and veg box when I worked in a supermarket while at Uni.

I wasn't into amphibians then though, otherwise it could have been a good find.

I wouldn't mind finding something for free too XD
A lot of spiders used to get found in grapes too if I'm not mistaken.
Also this line made me laugh.
A spokesman said: "We are investigating."
Typical fobbing off.

Almost as bad as destroying their natural habitat so we can eat it!!!!

Knowing my luck I'd find a venomous spider in the bannanas or something!
kdlang Posted - 15/01/2011 : 22:31:17
I wouldn't mind finding a king. Or what's the chances of a carpet python hiding in store somewhere lol

Live too :p http://www.discountvouchers.co.uk/news/99973535.html

But ew mould cake! I hate Tesco's food, it all tastes horrid! Maybe you can use your gift card to buy some food in the store and see what animal pops lol, as Mike said cheaper than the petshop :D

There has also been a baby king in one supermarket flowers I unno which one it was but that would have been a lucky find XD
mikerichards Posted - 15/01/2011 : 11:20:41
Baby mice in crisps??? still, if you get a good litter then its cheaper than buying them from the pet shop!! bit of a bargain if you ask me!
if thats the Gecko i am thinking of, then damn they are fast, little to no chance of handling, they practically teleport!
Sta~ple Posted - 14/01/2011 : 23:44:43
