Posted - 27/12/2010 : 15:48:10 I went to feed my snakes today and get mice out of the freezer... my mum had binned them to make room for christmas food. She suggested I gave them pigs in blankets... :-| |

Posted - 29/12/2010 : 11:46:53 My mum couldnt care less, she loves Lacey, she says providing she never sees the mice or Lacey eating she is more than happy which is fair enough. :) I dont think she will be so keen when Lacey is on small mice or something of the sort which are a fair bit larger than pinkies! :P Tiffany-x |

Posted - 28/12/2010 : 23:49:09 Well i used to buy them one at a time from my local pet shop... mainly because when I got Sir Hiss I hadnt told my mum and dead mice in the freezer might have been a give away. It was actually my mum who told me to start keeping lots in... it was when the whether was really bad last year, she told me to get a load in incase I couldnt get to the shops, she didnt want my snake to go hungry!! I dont think the mice bother her half as much as the crickets do... especially when i accidently liberate a few of them :( |

Posted - 28/12/2010 : 20:34:48 Oh dear! Thats just the sort of thing my mum would do if I still lived under her roof lol!... though the fella keeps threatening to throw them out as I keep a bag of pinkies, a bag of fuzzies and a bag of frozen worms (for my daughters frog) in a bag but too close to our food for my fellas comfort lol! |

Posted - 27/12/2010 : 20:29:57 I know they will be fine... I was just a bit annoyed. I kept them in an old ice cream tub, when she was cleaning out she picked it up and assumed it was a nearly empty tub of ice cream so chucked it. It was more the fact that she suggested giving them pigs in blankets that made me worry about her inteligence! lol! |

Posted - 27/12/2010 : 17:31:32 That made me laugh, don't be too harsh on your Mum I'm sure the Xmas lunch was worth losing a few mice. Don't worry about snakey either they can go weeks/months without food so a few days wait for new supplies will do them no harm. |
