Posted - 29/10/2010 : 21:17:49 I turn mine on when I get up in the morning and off when I go to bed in the evening. Nothing set routinely usually on about 7am and off around 11pm.... Just because It looks better no other reason its not a heat source |

Posted - 29/10/2010 : 15:04:08 Some of my lights are on ish, 24 hours a day!! most snakes dont need lights though, only really bigger bodied tropical animals, and thats only really to prevent and nasty accidents involving the heatmat. If you are trying to acheive a daylight cycle, then simply turn you light on when it gets light, and off when its dark, best light cycle around!! |

Posted - 27/10/2010 : 22:23:34 I have my light on 12 hours through the day. But thats my heat source so its kind of a requirement. As long as you dont keep it light through the night, they wont appreciate that and will become stressed. |
