Posted - 05/09/2010 : 21:07:11 the correct term would be het hypo, diffused, amel because there isn't a gene called 'fire' (its a combination)
het = heterozygous = genes come in pairs, if they are different then they are heterozygous hypo = a morph = reduced black diffused = a morph = reduces pattern on the lower laterals and removes belly chequers amel = a morph = totally lacking black |

Posted - 05/09/2010 : 19:20:23 Het is short for heterozygous, which means the snake is carrying a recessive gene but not showing it. Nearly all the morphs for a corn are recessive. To get an expressed hypo fire you would have to put two snakes with those hets together. |
