Aurora shed yesterday, just in time for dinner- what a colour change! These pics don't do her justice, she just gets more stunning every day!

Sitka eating his second ever fuzzy, did a much better job this time!

And Croc, who doesn't normally have his picture taken because he is evil......

Believe it or not, he shed about 3 days ago. His eyes look like that because he has cataracts which impair his vision.

Imagine it could be done but would be a very costly operation and would need to be done by a specialist.

This basically ^^^

It would be very expensive, very invasive, never mind the fact that he is far too small and underweight to deal with the anesthetic. It doesn't seem to bother him toooo much, he can still hunt, bite and attack quite well lol!

Only just got the chance to comment on these pics.

MY Aurora is amazing Rach....if these pics dont do her justice then I cant begin to imagine what she must be like in real life. She is showing up so pink where her neck has stretched to feed.... I do love her saddle markings, I cant wait to see how she progresses with her colours and markings as she grows.

So glad Sitka is learning to eat her fuzzies a bit better....although she still seems a bit confused as to which end to start from !

I do love Croc and he is looking like such a different snake than the one you brought home from that shop - and it is all down to you Rach ! His colours are so stunning, I am not surprised that people are wanting miamis after seeing him, but doubt anyone will find one that matches his quality. He is not evil !!! He is just a poor defenceless snake that has this giant putting her great big hands in to handle him and poke him and prode him and do horrible things to him that he really doesnt want done !

You would be surprised at how well animals adapt to life with a disability, and it is probably the main reason Croc reacts the way he does....he cant see what is coming. I am assuming he wouldnt have lost all his sight straight away, but just had a gradual dimming of it...so time to get used to it. I once had a ****atiel that was in an outdoor aviary. We think it was attacked through the wires by an owl or fox cos we found it one morning missing a leg. We thought we would lose her, but she was amazing. We brought her in and she used to hope around and fly about the house....with the occasional crash landing. She lived for about another 2 years after losing that leg....she just adapted.

xxx
