Paul Fryett just sent me these pics over and was hoping you guys could shed some light on wether it is indeed a corn and if so what morph it is.

The pics arn't too clear but it does look like a corn, just not one that i have seen before.

A good shot of its pattern

Pictures arnt great, but its not a corn, does look like a Pantherophis species though. A few decent head shots would be good.

I didn't think it was a corn, but it has a similar shaped head so i guessed it to be a species of rat snake. I'll ask him if he can get some head shots.

Well keeping snakes together is never a good thing, but you can treat it exactly as you would a corn so its your call.

They wouldn't be morphs they would be hybrids. Im not sure on the specified name though.

Strawberry corn? Im guessing thats an amel given a fancy name to try and sell it. Im not sure if the amel gene for a corn will be compatible with the genetics of a grey rat, so I couldnt tell you really, though they will ne "normal" looking hybrids.

The strawberry corn is a pink spot snow, putting that to the grey rat will give you a hybrid het for snow, kinda like the way the great plains works with amels.

Strawberry snows are a selectively bred type of snow. It has the same genes as normal snows but has been selectively bred so the saddles are a bright pink colour.

He sent me a pic earlier, its certainly not an amel but the pic isn't good enough to see wether it is a propper strawberry snow, infact on the pic she looks all white.

i have to agree with grey ratsnake :)

I certainly wouldn't be keeping it with a corn, the main reason because they are two different species.

i wasnt saying that..was merely pointing out the fact that there is a strawberry morph out there as i read a few comments that seemed to have the strawberry snow and the strawberry corn confused
