Beautiful girl but currently got a open wound on the tail and its getting worse. Tried this snake treatment and no sign of improvement. Also have another corn.
She just over 3 ft and about 2 years and 3 months.

Hey welcome to the forum.

You should head over to the introductions sectiona nd say hello properly.

Also if you take some pics of the wound on the tail and make a thread in the health section telling us what happened im sure we could help you with that.

Hes a gorgeous snake.

What have you been treating the wound with?

aw shes lovely
if shes on a substrate like aspen or similar it might be better to put her on kitchen towel - will help prevent her injury getting any extra infections, but like danny said if you make a post about it in the health section someone will be able to help you

Lillie is beautiful James. I am sorry to hear that she has got an injured tail...but definitely do what the others have suggested - get pics of it if possible and do a thread in the health section giving as much info as possible. We have a number of forum members who have experience with dealing with health issues so can give you some advice. If the wound is open then you should definitely follow HannahB's advice and put her on kitchen roll rather than substrate, to avoid infection (although you have probably done this already ).

Also post a thread in the Welcome section telling us a bit about yourself....we are very nosey ....and that way we can all say 'hi' officially .

I look forward to seeing pics of your other corn as well.

Hey thanks for the nice comments and welcomes ;)
i will sort out a picture when she will allow me to, definitely camera shy apart from this picture was just lucky for moment when she was actually still.
Hannah before i posted this i had completely cleaned out the viv with special snake friendly disinfectant and all the logs and cave. i put in fresh new substrate from local reptile shop. you reckon this be alright or should i put on kitchen towel still.
I used this treatment called Repti Wound-healing Aid which you dab onto the area 2 times a day and have been for a week now.
i will shortly put a picture of my other corn ace when i can
cheers

I am no expert James, but would think that to be on the safe side it would be better to put Lillie on kitchen roll rather than substrate. You dont want any sticking to her wound and it may cause an infection. It is also easier to change regularly and therefore you can keep the viv as sterile as possible.

Do you know how she got the wound?

Welcome to the forum. Wow, nice snake, she's such a pretty girl. How old is he? Have you got her on kitchen roll now? Is the wound open and weeping? Do you have a reptile shop anywhere near you that has reliable 'know what they are talking about' staff that might be able to advise you? It's always easier if you can see the wound in person. Have you managed to get a close up, clear photo of her wound that you could post on here? Sorry so many questions but they may give more clues to our experts!!
