Heya all, I wanted to ask if this seems like a reasonable feeding routine or would you reccomend something else
To summarize: Feed hatchlings 2 pinkies once a week Juveniles 2 fluffs once a week Large juveniles 1 small mouse once a week Gradually increase the size of food using 1.5x the girth of the widest part of the snake as a guide. Only feed 1 item once a week
Is this to much or just right? (My snakes only a lil hatchling so Pinkies FTW)
2 Corn Snake's - Marshmellow and Ember 1 Bearded Dragon - Spike 1 Siberian Husky - Storm
Doesn't sound to bad, although as they get bigger/older than the feeds can increase as well. All of my older ones are on 2 prey items once every 10-14 days (ish)
Candy gets 1 pinkie every 5 days, will eventually move to 2 pinkies every 5 days.
Casper and reggie get 1 small fuzzy (fluff) every 6 days although reggie will be moving upto 2 small fuzzies (fluffs) soon and then evertually onto 1 large fuzzy (Crawler).
looks like a plan to me, although snakes grow at different rates so as long as you stick to your 1.5 x snake width all will be good. For instance two of my 09's are on small mice, and a few other of my 09's are on medium sized fuzzies so not really age dependant but snake size dependant.
