Well I have two hides, one which is a large log that is on the warm side and a fake rock that Cornflake can get into on the cooler side. The one on the cooler side is like 3/4 full of slighlty damp moss and I was wondering is this was needed apart from when shedding, to help the snake with the process?
I though I should ask since we are new to keeping snakes and ive heard that too much damp could cause health problems so just wanting to check up
Hi Chris you only need it in when your Snake is going into shed.Corns can contract respiratory illness with to much moisture.
What I do is put my moss in a little container take away size. Then spray moss with water close container and repeat every couple of days. This keeps Moss damp ready to use when you need it. Also you could cut a hole in the top so Snake can get in it.
