Aquarium silicon is the safest option because it is designed to be safe for pets.

Some sealants (especially mold resistant ones) give off fumes that could harm your snake. If you do use them, make sure you leave a good few weeks for fumes to dissipate before placing your snake inside it.

I'd deffo go for aquarium sealent. We got a big tube of it to use with a mastic gun and it was only £8.99, could easily do every edge of 3 large vivs!

Silcone sealant is fine, its not like they chew it or it gets in contact with their water. It takes 24 hours for the sealant to set properly, and for fumes to dissipate. All my vivs are silicone sealed.

When you sealed your vivs how long did you leave it for the fumes to disipate?

I know when i have sealed things with a normal sealant wether clear, white or black it leaves a strong vinegar like smell around for a while.

aquarium sealant is the safest but can use silicone sealant but on safe side leave a little longer to go off and get rid of fumes do not use mould resistant sealant due to chemicals in the sealant is bad for reps
