I'm a new user having only bought my corn snake 2 weeks ago!
When I bought him,the shopkeeper said he was about 18 months old and he was feeding on "creepers". I have feed him 1 creeper once a week successfully so far!!
I weighed him today and he is 71grams and is approx 24 inches.
My question is when do i move him up in food sizes
Have never heard of a creeper so have no idea what size that is!!!

Normally when the food no longer leaves a bump in the belly then it is time to move up a size. Remember not to feed anything more than 1.5 times thicker than the thickest part of your snake.

When you take a x-section of your corn (metaphorically obviously!) there are 3 shapes you should look for-
Thin- a triangle shape. Backbone is sometimes visible with sloping sides and a dent along each side of the back. Good- a semicircle. Top arched and belly lying flat on the surface of a table etc. Good muscle tone and strength. Fat- a complete circle. Skin is showing between the scales when your snake is lying straight (not curled up) and the head may look unnaturally small.

I am the same as SB I am afraid, I have never heard of a creeper (but then someone on here had a jack russel size as well...so they come under all names ). I know a lot of owners dont weigh the mice they feed their snakes and just go by what they see and by what they know their snake needs...but I know that as a new owner I needed some sort of guide to go by. This is a VERY rough guide as to Mouse Feeding -
1 Pinkie: 1 to 5 days old (0.5 - 3g) - feed every 5 to 6 days (Snake = 4-15g) 2 Pinkies (3-4g) – feed every 5 to 6 days (Snake = 16-23g) Small Fuzzy: 6 to 13 days old (3 - 6g) – feed every 6 to 7 days (Snake = 24-30g) Fuzzy (7-9g) – feed every 6 to 7 days (Snake = 30-50g) Fluff/Hoppers: 2 to 3 weeks old (7-12g) - feed every 6 to 7 days (Snake = 51-90g) Small Adult/Weaned: 3 to 4 weeks old (13-18g) - feed every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g) Large: 4 to 6 weeks ((19 to 25g) – feed every 7 to x days (snake = 170g+) X large: 6 months + old (350 +) – feed every 10 to x days (Snake = 170+)
At 71g it sounds as though your 'creeper' is probably the fluff/hopper. Try weighing one and seeing if it fits into the size range for them. If that it right then your snake seems to be on the right size and right gap between feeds.
You can work out if your snake needs to move up in size when there is no longer a bump once they have eaten their 'dinner', so as there is still a slight bulge in his stomach it does all sound ok.
theres such thing as a crawler which are between fluffies and small mice? gets very confusin with all these names lol like when people mention hoppers i alway think of locusts
